Adolescence is an exciting time of inner and outer exploration and expansion. Our mentoring community is designed to provide boys and young men with the self-awareness, emotional skills and confidence to navigate the path to adulthood with resourcefulness and resilience.
Each young man gets only one opportunity for a healthy adolescence, and membership in the Rooted Futures Community is a way to ensure your son has access to these life-changing benefits!
What exactly is the Membership?
The Rooted Futures Membership is a community meant to travel alongside your family and most importantly, your son, on his journey towards manhood. The Membership provides a safe space to explore and learn from all the lessons that life will inevitably provide for any boy as he enters teenage years and blossoms in his independence and self awareness. Our goal is to guide boys deeper into themselves, where they can come in contact with more of who they authentically are and the gifts they have for the world.
The Membership centers around our new Pathmaker Program, a year-round, holistic and nature-based curriculum for boys 9-19 years. We deliver this powerful curriculum to boys and parents virtually, so you can join from anywhere!
The Pathmaker Program
Includes:
Path Calls
Mondays 4pm PST
(Youth & Mentors)
These calls are for exploring the Pathmaker curriculum and are held in small closed cohorts, fostering a consistent learning environment among peers and mentors.
Grove Calls
Wednesdays 4pm PST
(Youth & Mentors)
An opportunity to engage with a wider variety of mentors and young men in our Rooted Futures Community, the weekly subject matter arises naturally based on what is alive and relevant for participants.
Heartwood Calls
4th Thursday Monthly - 4pm PDT
(Parents & Mentors)
A setting for parents to come together and receive support. It's a space to take a breath, and find helpful resources, affirming reflections, thought-provoking conversation, and the reassurance that you're not alone on your parenting journey.
Communities
Online - 24 Hour Access
(Parents, Mentors, Youth)
Two dedicated connection spaces for Parents/mentors and youth/mentors to grow together, rooted in connection, mutual support, and a shared purpose to support and inspire young men to create the future they want to live in!

These multi-week offerings will be focused on varied topics including more in-depth skills development around selected topics (eg; communication, life management skills, or nature connection), or creative/playful outlets (eg; improv comedy/theater, Dungeons and Dragons), or more open-ended spaces.
The Hearth
2nd Thursday Each Month - 5pm PST
(Parents, Mentors, Youth)
The Hearth Community Call is an opportunity each month for the ENTIRE community to connect. It is vital that boys be in the presence of their community in an integrated way, to talk, laugh, play and connect. This session provides solid intergenerational weaving for parents, mentors and boys!

Rooted Futures is a charitable organization so we ask each family to stretch to pay what is possible and sustainable for you. This enables us to provide the more accessible pricing option of $199/month for families who need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question 1: Is this program only for at-risk youth?
No. This program is for any boy between the ages of 10 and 19 years. All boys and young men need safe space to develop as they are, positive male role models, nature immersion and conversations that develop a healthy manhood.
Question 2: How do I qualify for a scholarship?
Click the "Apply for a Scholarship" button below to submit an application for a scholarship and we will reply via email soon.
Question 3: What do you talk about on these calls?
There are different discussion topics for each call. However, the foundation of our circles is based on checking in - feelings, life events, self reflection and deeper inquiry. We also practice some simple breathwork and play games for connection. Join us and see!
Question 4: What if my son is thriving, can he participate?
YES! Group Mentoring is relevant for all boys as they come of age. If your son is thriving, our programs will help him to develop an even more 'rooted future'!
Scholarship Opportunities
In addition to sliding scale pricing, we offer scholarships for families in need, based on our ability to fundraise. Our goal is to say yes to as many families as possible who would like to be part of our community.
